Torches, saws, soldering equipment, metals, stones, and specialized tools can feel intimidating at first. You do not have to figure all of that out before taking your first class.
Our professional jewelry studio is already equipped with the tools and equipment you will need during class. There is no need to buy an entire studio before you even know which techniques you enjoy.
Never soldered, used a jeweler's saw, or worked with metal? That is completely fine. Choose a class that fits your experience and learn the technique while actually using it.
New to our school, but already making jewelry? Your Class Pass gives you access to professional tools, instruction, and studio space to help take your work further. There is room to grow here.
“Am I holding this correctly?” “Why isn't my solder flowing?” “Can I fix this?” Ask your instructor and get help while the piece is sitting right in front of you.
There is a big difference between seeing someone make jewelry and sitting down at the bench yourself.
Depending on the class you choose, your first visit might be the first time you:
And sometimes the most important moment is simply looking down at the piece in your hands and realizing:
“I actually made this.”
That is what the Class Pass is designed to help you experience.
A lot of people hesitate to take their first jewelry class because they think everyone else will already know what they are doing.
You do not need previous jewelry-making experience to get started. You do not need to consider yourself artistic, own professional tools, or know which technique you want to specialize in.
Find a class that fits your experience and a project that makes you think:
“I would love to learn how to make that.”
We can help with the rest.
Optional Extras, Included With Both Passes
Most new students come because they want to take a jewelry class. That is exactly what your Class Pass is for. During your 30 days, you can also spend more time getting comfortable in the studio.
Spend additional time at the bench practicing, creating, and becoming more familiar with the studio.
Get the most out of your Open Bench Time with a supervised overview of how to use everything you need to start creating.
If your project requires specialized equipment, we can train and certify you on the equipment you need to use safely.
You do not have to use every benefit. They are there if you want more time to create.
Your Class Pass includes class credits and the use of the professional tools and equipment needed during class. We provide everything you need to participate.
Consumable materials used during class, such as metal, wire, solder, stones, or other project supplies, are charged separately as a kit fee paid after class.
The kit fee is shown when you choose and enroll in your class, so you know what to expect before attending.
You do not need to bring your own tools or supplies. If there is something special or personal you would like to use, check with us about whether it fits your chosen project.
Your Class Pass lets you experience Tucson Jewelry School before deciding what you want to do long term. There is no automatic renewal.
Once you use your class credits or your pass expires, you can continue taking individual classes at the regular rate of $210 for a 3-hour class or $420 for a 6-hour class.
If you want to keep taking classes regularly, you can meet with us to talk about how often you would like to attend. We will help you find a membership plan that fits how much time you want to spend learning and creating.
You do not need to make that decision today. Your first step is simply experiencing the school.
