Copper Tube Hinge PendantIn this class you will learn my secret "down and dirty" version of making tube hinges. Experience using a jeweler's saw is a bonus, but not a necessity. We will be going over proper jeweler's say techniques as part of the class. We will be soldering, sawing and using cold connections in this project.

Southwestern EmbellishmentsIn this class we will be exploring techniques needed to create your own embellishments to use in future Southwestern pieces of jewelry. We will make as many rope wires, flowers, feathers, leaves, balls, shot plate embellishments, sawn out applique pieces and dye casts as possible in the time we have allotted.

Silver 101 - Part 1 - Casting IngotSilver 101 is a comprehensive 3-month course that guides students through foundational silverworking techniques, including casting ingots, creating sheet and wire, soldering, design planning, execution, refining, and final evaluation. Students will meet twice per month for hands-on instruction and discussion, with outside assignments completed during TJS bench time or another workspace between sessions.

Soldering IntensiveThis class is designed for beginners and experienced students alike that would like to learn a little more about how soldering works and push there skills to new levels. A simple chain is the outcome of the class, yet you will be using 4 different techniques of soldering. We will discuss the science being used in soldering. You will be encouraged to use 4 different techniques that include placement, pick, stick and paste soldering.
