Turn your watch into a fabulous silver bracelet. This box chain watch band is thin and streamlined. It has a beautiful, intricate, even weave pattern. Watch faces can be bought in a variety of shapes and styles. The majority are made with base metals but you can also buy stainless steel watch faces. Sterling silver watch faces use to be available but are now hard to find.

Instructions
Step 1
Using the 20g 5/32" rings, take an open ring, add 2 closed rings, and close the ring.

Add another ring in the same place so you now have 2 links each with 2 rings.

Add a piece of scrap wire to the rings in the first link.

This link will be link 1 and the 2nd will be link 2.

Step 2
The 2 rings in link 2 are folded back.

The bottom ring is folded back towards the bottom and the top is folded back towards the top.

Take an open ring and part the 2 rings in link 1 and go through the 2 folded back rings from link 2.

Add another ring in the same place.

The 2 new rings now become link 1 in the pattern.

Step 3
Add 2 rings to form link 2.

Step 4
Repeat steps 2 and 3 to add another box link.

Step 5
Keep adding box links until you have a chain with 16 box links.

Add one more box link but this time in step 2 add 3 rings instead of 2, then in step 3, only add 1 19g 3/16" ring instead of 2 20g rings.

Step 6
Using the 20g rings again, add an open ring to the same spot where the scrap wire is, attach this open ring to the bottom of the watch face.

Remove the scrap wire and attach 2 more rings in the same place.

Step 7
Make the other side of the band in exactly the same way.

In step 5 substitute the large 19g ring for the small 20g 1/8" ring and before you close this small ring add the trigger clasp.

Attach the chain in the same way as in step 6 to the top of the watch face.
