One of the best things about growing up in Colorado is the time my family would spend alongside a mountain lake, fishing, hiking or just daydreaming. My brother, sister and I would scour the shoreline, looking for river rocks or fishing lures or animal tracks. We'd walk on logs and build sand castles with moats that filled with lake water.
