Instructions
Step 1
With the 20-gauge wire make a wire wrapped loop at one end of the wire. Insert the rod into the loop.
Step 2
Holding the wire loop against the rod, wrap the wire around the rod in a random pattern for 3 1/2 inches. Remove the rod.
Step 3
Bring the end of the wire under the wire-wrapped loop and wrap several times to secure. Shape the frame as desired.
Step 4
With the 28-gauge wire make a small loop at one end. This will keep the beads from falling off of the wire. Add 6" of seed beads to the wire. Wrap the free end of the wire several times around the wire wrapped loop to secure.
Step 5
Move 2 inches of beads near the top of the loop and wrap around several times to hide the wire wrap. Do not cover the loop. Wrap the wire without beads, around one more time to secure.
Step 6
With the remaining beads, wrap groups of 5-10 beads at a time around the frame. Secure in between each group by wrapping the wire two times on the frame. Continue wrapping groups around the frame ending at the top.
Step 7
Embellishments are added randomly. Begin with one larger set of focal beads centered in the middle of the frame, then fill in any other space as desired.
Attach embellishments by wrapping the wire around the frame 1-2 times at each interval. Fill in with remaining beads or plain wire as desired.
Step 8
When complete, finish by wrapping the wire around the frame several times to secure. Trim the wire.
